Our History
The St Pancras and Somers Town Living Centre is a non-profit organisation where local people co-design, deliver and use services that tackle inequality, delivered in five outcome areas; health, education, economy, social and neighbourhood.
The Beginning
The Living Centre overcame the initial resistance it faced when the centre opened in 2017, due to its connection to the Francis Crick Institute by actively working with the Francis Crick Institute and Living Centre Partners to provide a place at the heart of the community that is open to all who need help/support/advice/guidance and would be seen as such by the residents of Somers Town,
As part of their commitment to the community of Somers Town the Francis Crick Institute provided a high quality venue (the Living Centre), funding and long-term security for the development of a new community asset.
