When are you open?

Monday to Friday, 9-5pm

Our mandatory office shutdowns to give our staff much-deserved and needed rest are during the following periods:

  • Summer: The last two weeks of August
  • Winter: Winter half term in February

Are you open to all ages?

Yes, we are! The events and services we have in the centre may be suitable for one age group more than another but the centre is open for people of all ages. Find a space and hang out, check out our pre-loved clothes rack or just have a chat with people in the community if you’d like.

Where can I find out about what’s happening during the week/month?

There are four ways:

  1. We have a monthly newsletter that you can access digitally here.
  2. You can come drop by the centre for a chat.
  3. You can contact us via email or phone
  4. You can check out the list of our service providers to see their regular schedule at the centre. Please note that timings might change without prior notice so it’s still important to verify with us.

Is the venue accessible?

We have a lift that can be used to access the first floor of our centre.

Can I drop off and display my leaflets / flyers / promotional materials at the Centre?

We would like to do our best to accommodate all requests made. However, we have limitations with space so we will prioritise those that are time sensitive and specifically, immediately serve the needs and interests of the Somers Town community.

Can I donate?

Yes, every kind of help is significant for us to continue the vital work that we do. Please visit our donation page here. 

If you have a particular donation in mind that is not mentioned in the link above, kindly please get directly in touch with us.

Can I access your services without a booked appointment?

Due to the limitations we have in terms of space, resources and staff, as well as some of our services being run in collaboration with partner organisations, we would appreciate it if you could book an appointment. 

However, we understand that each individual circumstance could vary and sometimes, booking an appointment beforehand is not possible. We would do our best to accommodate walk in queries and requests.

Do you rent spaces for parties?

Please email bookings@thelivingcentre.org with details regarding your specific query and for more information.

Do you offer the space for free?

Please email jodie@somerstown.org.uk with details regarding your specific query and for more information.

Do you have set times to collect food bank vouchers?

Yes, we do. The current schedule as follows:

  • Monday, 10am to 4pm
  • Wednesday, 10am to 4pm

Do you have something running to address the cost of living crisis?

Yes, we do. Our Cost of Living Grant applications assistance can be accessed via appointment on Fridays. Please get in touch with us through info@thelivingcentre.org to book an appointment and for more information. It would be best to put: Cost of Living Crisis Grant application on the subject line.

Additionally, we also host workshops on financial health with our partners and providers. For any information if there is one coming up, please get in touch with us.

Do you have space to store items in?

As our storage space and resources are limited, we do not store things in the Centre.
